Did Shakespeare visit Yorkshire?

By 1592 was established in London and his play Henry VI was gaining recognition. But little is known of Shakespeare’s activities in the seven years between 1585-1592.

The mystery of Shakespeare’s “lost years” is much debated and there is a possibility that he may well have visited Yorkshire.

This talk explores Shakespeare’s early life and his intriguing connections with Yorkshire, including an intriguing case in 1609 when a performance of a Shakespearean play resulted in gentry in Nidderdale being imprisoned for treason!
